The Royal Society of Marine Artists

We are proud to sponsor The Royal Society of Marine Artists who are a focal point for contemporary marine art in the UK. Members of the society include many of the country's top marine artists and the current President is John Scott Martin, who also runs workshops at Pegasus Art.

The RSMA was founded 1939 with Charles Pears as the first President of the Society and has had many fine marine artist members since. Priding themselves on maintaining a tradition of excellence and being committed to promoting marine art in it's many forms.

They currently hold an annual open exhibition at Mall Galleries in London, as well as many other shows around the UK in galleries, museums and marine-associated venues. Submissions are welcome from any artist producing work with a marine theme, and selected works are displayed alongside the current RSMA members pieces.
