Location & History
As the name suggests, the Attic Studio is on the third and top floor of our lovely red brick mill building in the picturesque Stroud Valleys.
Whilst researching the building with the Stroud Historical Society we discovered that the space was once used to build Horsa glider wings during the Second World War. Incredibly, the twenty foot canvas and wooden wings were 'posted' out of double doors at the end of the building. We are humbled by the many businesses that have existed in the building before our own from textiles to walking stick manufacturers. There is also an undeniable symbiosis between the glider wings and the bespoke canvases that we make at Pegasus Art today! Canvas over wooden frames.
The third floor is shared with three private studios and a stretcher bar storage area which is divided from the Attic Studio and is accessed via a private entrance. They do not impact on the studio hire space.
