Glassine Paper Sheets

Glassine sheets are smooth, thin and slightly shiny sheets of paper that are resistant to air, water and grease. They are normally translucent and they are often used to cover precious drawings or illustrations in books so you can just see some of the image through the glassine but it is protected from the opposite page. This helps to prevent rubbing or transfers within the book as the glassine sheet is used as interleaving. Glassine sheets can also be used to protect pastel, drawings artwork or even acrylic paintings - a very useful specialist paper to have to hand.

Acetate Paper Sheets

Acetate sheets are brilliant for crafts where you require a transparent layer. Use specialised markers to draw patterns, images or the written word on the surface and then it can be cut out, shaped, decorated and layered for crafts such as card making. Acetate sheets have many different uses from projectors to protective layers and decorations to mixed media artworks.

We stock a selection of other specialist art papers that are used for all sorts of projects, artwork and crafts including brown paper for collage, print work, mixed media works, wrapping gifts or sketchbooks and so much more, oiled manilla paper that is traditionally used for stencil making due to its water resistant properties, blotting paper with a high absorbency for printing making, newsprint which is an affordable paper for quick sketches and working out compositions and ideas, tissue paper for protection and wrapping gifts, Daler Rowney coloured paper for craft and card making, and finally pH neutral tracing paper.

All our specialist sheet papers are available per sheet with minimum orders normally of 5 sheets - remember you can mix and match the sheet papers to reach the minimum order quantity.
