We have a lovely range of handmade Unison pastels right here at Pegasus Art. Unison Colour offers pastels which give you a vibrant, intense colour and a smooth, soft feel, one which without a doubt can be put to use for a wide range of creative projects.
John Hersey’s Pastel Vision
Unison Colours all began when the artist John Hersey felt as though there wasn’t a pastel out there that was completely satisfying. After much experimentation and hard work, in 1987 John decided to share his pastels which fellow artists. So pleased were those who tried them with the results, that it soon became a commercial operation.
Handmade Quality
This however did not see the project stray from the original work of John Hersey, as the initial recipes are still in fact used to this day. Unlike mass-produced, factory made pastels, these handmade pastels offer a beautiful richness and reliability that comes from the amount of work and skill which goes into producing each one.
