Strathmore Paper History
Dating all the way back to St Patrick’s Day of 1892, when the founder Horace Moses set up his first paper mill in West Springfield, USA, Strathmore has a long and rich history in the business of fine art paper. If you’re wondering why it is that the project came to be called ‘Strathmore’, it is because Horace Moses went on a trip to the valley of Strathmore in Scotland, and was so inspired by the beauty of the place that he thought it would be an appropriate name for his company.
Undeniable Quality
For over 120 years, Strathmore has become the artist’s choice, whether the artist in question prefers watercolor, charcoal, pastel, pencil or pen and ink. This is because they have shown themselves to be just about the most passionate, committed and skillful of pioneers in the art paper game. And this is why, here at Pegasus Art, we are proud to present this excellent range of Strathmore paper pads and rolls.
Inspirational Range
With calligraphy pads, mixed media paper, hardback pads, writing paper, recycled paper, drawing paper and more, there is a variety of options for your creative needs. You might even find that Strathmore paper rolls and paper pads, although presenting 'blank canvases', paradoxically offer such high-quality blank canvas that they will be sources of inspiration themselves!
