At the same time, their products are also reasonably priced, so they will be great for any level of artist, no matter what the budget is.
High Quality Art Supplies
Offering supplies and materials for hobbyists to professionals, experienced artists to beginners, the goal of Frisk is to be able to allow artists of any age and level to enjoy themselves and cultivate their passion. Frisk artist pads, sketchbooks and artboards are all made in the UK in their factory in Manchester. One of the things which we love about Frisk is that they not only make products to an exacting standard, but they also look to use sustainable and recycled materials in their acid free paper wherever possible.
Sustainable Art Materials
In terms of their sustainable credentials, Frisk have been certified as FSC ®, meaning that all their non-recycled wood materials are sourced from Forest Stewardship Council managed forests. It is also great to know that all the paper in the Frisk range is carbon balanced paper. Carbon balancing actually goes a step further than carbon offsetting. Paper is only officially Carbon Balanced when the emissions created by its production are offset in a very specific way as managed by the global conservation charity, the World Land Trust. The WLT direct their efforts towards protecting especially vulnerable habitats which are crucially important as carbon stores and as homes for dozens of threatened species.
Frisk Paper
It would of course not be the complete package if these products were sustainable but did not deliver on their artistic function. It is a good thing then that the Frisk range an absolute joy for artists to use. We would recommend using their acid free paper as a versatile material which is just as useful for printing as it is for sketching and scrapbooking. As well as offering some excellent lightweight newsprint paper, you will also be able to pick out some superb heavy weight cartridge pads. This is in particular excellent for for pencils, markers, pastels and light washes.
