helen masacz memento mori skull flower painting

Helen Masacz

Helen currently focusing on a new series of paintings called Cloth & Claret – stunning still life oil paintings in a dark palette reminiscent of old master paintings. Of her paintings she says, "overall, my paintings are a captivating exploration of the human condition, infused with symbolism, narrative, and a touch of melancholy beauty. The use of oil paints and a limited palette lends an air of timelessness to a painting." Helen has an impressive painting pedigree having exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery, winning the Royal Portrait Societies Art’s Club Award and painting high profile portraits over the years. She is currently represented by Form Gallery in Nailsworth.

Ollie Goodson

Ollie's work is graphic and distinctive, balancing space, shapes and colour to create dense geometric kaleidoscopic patterns. A member of the Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-operative, Ollie’s work lends itself to repeat patterns that you might find in wallpaper. August was spent in Amsterdam on a residency exploring new techniques and mediums in a professional print studio. He works in a range of media, immersing himself in an escapist world and asking the viewer to join him there. We’re excited to see what he unveils at the staff exhibition!

echo murdoch-parker artist watercolour of 2 people walking in long puffer jackets

Echo Murdoch-Parker

With a passion for the human form, you can expect to see individuals as the focal point of Echo's work, spreading across many media, ranging from life drawing to installation pieces. It is such a passion that has led her through the local Art Foundation course and onto University to study Fine Art with the aim of expanding her knowledge and maturing her skill sets to nourish her creativity. Continuing her exploration of what makes us human (physically, psychologically and socially) Echo will be exhibiting a series of watercolour paintings titled ABNORMAL. Based around observed behaviour in manmade environments (such as the streets of London), this series aims to highlight the fine line between the aesthetic, ideal normal and the arbitrary, abnormal normal found within everyday behaviour.
