Pegasus Art sponsors the Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition 2023

We are delighted to sponsor the Royal Society of Marine Artists Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries this Autumn. Opening on 22nd September, we are sponsoring a prize of £100 worth of art materials to a lucky entrant.

This year will be the 78th exhibition of British marine art chosen from both members and non-members. The exhibition showcases how diverse techniques, subjects and media are all represented to best advantage. Look out for demonstrations throughout the exhibition from some highly accomplished artists.

“As an island maritime and coastal nation, from childhood seaside holidays, to ‘messing about in boats’ or The Owl and the Pussycat and Swallows and Amazons. Later Treasure Island and Hornblower’s adventures at the time of Nelson, have all influenced our love of all things maritime,” says John Scott Martin, President of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and guest tutor at Pegasus Art. The coastline of Britain and its principal islands measures some 19,400 miles, presenting a wide variety of often spectacular scenery.
