‘Open Doors’ – a new initiative from SIT Select

‘Open Doors’ is a new initiative from Stroud International Textiles, now known as SIT Select – an arts organisation supporting the visual arts and applied arts. Based in Stroud, they support local and national artists in curated and artist artist-led exhibitions, events, talks and educational opportunities alongside an annual Select Trail Open Studios event.

Starting this July, Open Doors is an opportunity to meet artists who work with SIT Select, explore their studios and view works-in-progress during these informal encounters. Each artist gives a brief introduction to their practice followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion. Every year, the artists at Pegasus Art, join the Select Trail Open Studios and enjoy working together to support our private studios here with artists including Teresa Poole, Jane Fisher, Arthur Penn, Carol Honess and Paul Fowler.

Teresa specialises in designing and painting murals using a diverse range of techniques. Eye catching, highly decorative oriental visions using gold and silver leaf and mixed media. Teresa combines urban landscapes with beautiful materials. She is well known for her imagery of giant carp and kimonos.

Come and meet the artist in her studio. This event is free, but booking essential as limited places.
