Abstracts: Colour, mark making and Composition with Sarah Wimperis
Saturday 8th February 2020
Attic Studios, Pegasus Art
10am – 4pm
Mixed media – watercolour, water mixable oils or acrylic
A bright and colourful workshop for February!
Join Sarah as she explores abstracts, colour mixing, pigments and colour, taking a closer look at International Klein Blue, Vantablack and Stroud Scarlet! Mix your own colour chart and paint an abstract. If you are completely new to this genre, don’t worry, Sarah will guide you in the basic principals and you can just have a go and enjoy it.
Other topics covered will be mark making with various tools, abstract techniques and thoughts on composition. Even if your style is naturally figurative this workshop will be very helpful for your painting process. Choose whichever medium you prefer.
A professional artist and illustrator, the only English artist-animator to work on the film ‘Loving Vincent’ and through sheer practice, an expert in the style of Van Gogh.
