Explore Mixed-media ~ Summer Masterclass with Max Hale
Thursday 30th & Friday 31st August 2018
10am – 4pm £120 for both days
Mixed-media is probably THE most creative genre, teaching the artist much about drawing and painting. This is a brilliant opportunity to enjoy experimenting with not only the materials but to help push back the boundaries of your creative spirit.
Experienced tutor, Max Hale, will guide you in having a go with inks, pastel, watercolour and acrylics! Explore your creative self and be completely free to learn. You will have the luxury of two days to ask Max whatever questions you may have and concentrate on a favourite medium or subject for longer.
Working from a series of photographs, books and still life you can tackle issues you may have come across on your own and/or try something completely new. You will take on a huge amount of information, and Max will give you lots of tips for getting the best out of the medium. With the art materials shop next door, he can also advise on the best products to buy to get you started.
Most importantly, it will be a fun and informative masterclass with plenty of encouragement and advice for future practice. Beginners are most welcome.
Max has been teaching at Pegasus Art for four years and has built up a popular following of students. He attended Harrow School of Art where he studied Fine Art and was tutored by Ken Howard OBE RA. He became an apprentice illustrator in a London studio but found his way back to fine art, his true passion. He has been teaching for over twenty five years, whilst exhibiting and painting throughout. He writes for The Artist magazine, among others, and is an Ambassador for Royal Talens.
