Expressive portraits in acrylic with Mark Fennell RBSA
Saturday 25th January 2020
10am – 4pm
Beginners or Intermediate Level
This is an inspiring painting day course for beginners or intermediates. If you are painting a portrait for the first time or if you are looking to improve your portrait painting skills and learn new techniques this is a great workshop.
Mark will demonstrate and guide you through his well structured approach to painting a portrait, breaking it down into easy to follow steps that will cover everything from the colour palette and mixing flesh tones to working tonally, initially blocking in shape and form to construct the head through to the finer details to create a good likeness. Mark will give you plenty of one to one tuition and share his top tips for how to get the best from acrylic paint. You will be working directly from a live sitter which will be both challenging and rewarding. No experience needed for this course and it is suitable for the complete beginner to both acrylics and portraiture.
