Cotman Watercolour is a student range from Winsor & Newton.  The watercolour sets are immensely good value for money and perfect for those starting out with watercolour painting.

The difference between watercolour and gouache is the opacity.  Gouache is water-soluble and opaque and dries to a more reflective matt sheen.  The Umton Barvy Designers Gouache paints have high quality pigments and this tempera gouache dries to a soft matt sheen.
