Classic No 4 stretcher bars have what we call a 'fine' profile.  They are 1.8cm in depth and are made from strong laminated wood from eco-friendly re-forested supplies in Northern Europe.  We have sizes available from 18cm up to 1 metre. 

The mitred ends are easy to tap together, a rubber mallet is the best tool for this task.  Measure the diagonals, i.e. from corner to opposite corner and if  these measurements are equal you have got the canvas frame square to start stretching your fabric.

Wooden wedges are provided for all frames.
