Stretcher Bars

If you are looking to make a sturdy, easy to fit together, chunky canvas frame, this is the heavy duty stretcher bar range for you. At 4.5cm depth, with lengths from 30cm all the way up to the large stretcher bars size 3 metres in length, these Museum 45 Artists Stretcher Bars will not disappoint. At £7.10 incl vat per metre they are also great value.

The mitred ends of the Museum 45 stretcher bars tap together easily. We recommend a rubber mallet for this task. There are also mitred holes for crossbars if you making up larger sizes. The very longest stretcher bars have two mitred crossbar holes for added stability. Measure the diagonals i.e. each corner to the opposite corner, and if the two measurements are equal your canvas frame is square and ready for stretching your fabric.
